Terms of payment by Credit Card

More security with the new system 3D-SECURE and SecureCode.

Since 1 October 2008, security was strengthened for credit card payment through the 3D-Secure scheme set up by most major banks.
You now have to enter an additional passcode to make a payment by credit card on our online store.
This authentication is done directly on the site of your own bank.
This is to greatly reduce the chances of fraudulent use of your credit card because even if your credit card was stolen, it can not be used without knowing the passcode.

Without the 3D-SECURE device.
It was possible to simply pay with the number of the credit card, its expiry date and the three digit symbol on the back of your card.
This would allow the owner of your card (whoever it may be) to use your card without your consent.

With the 3D-Secure and SecureCode system. You have a special personal code dedicated to your purchases on the Internet.
This allows you to authenticate yourself and to ensure that it is the cardholder that is making the payment.
It is no longer possible to use your credit card without your consent.

Specifically, to pay for an order with 3D-SECURE.
- You have to enter, as usual, the number of your credit card, its expiry date and the icon on the website of our partner bank.
- You will then be taken directly to your bank to enter the passcode.
- When this information is entered and validated by the two banks (our bank and yours), you will be automatically redirected to our online store.

How do I find my passcode 3D-SECURE or SecureCode.
Depending on your bank, your code has been assigned either directly or you are asked to define it on your first payment by credit card over the Internet (depending on your bank policy and the type of credit card).
Some banks will ask you for example your date of birth, others will ask you to create this code when you first use ... but rapidly and by law, you will have to use the special Internet code.
You can contact your bank calmly for more information on your authentication code before making your purchase (important, read on).

What happens if the authentication fails?
If after three attempts, authentication fails, your credit card will be disabled.
It will no longer be possible to make a payment via the internet with your card.
However, you can normally continue to use your bank card to withdraw cash or pay via a physical bank payment terminal, more virtual.
You will have ti contact your bank to reactivate your credit card for Internet payments.
